Gary Poor made it home from Alaska with at least an hour to spare. Even so he was full of energy and enthusiasm. Yes- that is Karla Moore Frenzel in the background!
Mila Hicks Baris and Sue Kile Williams having a wonderful reunion. Honestly, at times I felt like I was walking the halls of junior high seeing old friends together- it was lovely and fun.
Gary Taylor enjoys the reunion too.
We did a lot of set up around noon on Saturday before the evening event.
Robin Kabrich, Bill's wife, became the Queen of our hearts by bringing two of incredibly fresh and delicious peach pies. Total surprise- toally appreciated! Imagine our delight when she said, "Bill, go out to the car and bring in a pie"! Did you say pie?
Allan Yeary, Annette Sebastian and John Blaschka posing on the dance floor Saturday evening.
We will have to have a photo of Annette and Gary dancing at every reunion.
This marks 5 years since they met on the dance floor at our 40th reunion and married a few years later. Congratulations!
Callie gives new meaning to "pretty in pink". Callie and Shelley Rintala- thank you for traveling so far to be with us this evening and over the weekend.
Ed Scheibner, Pam Mitchell Bronson, Judy Penhallegon Adams and Sue Bradley Weaver.
Ed read on an internet site that learning magic would help you become a babe magnet.
It works!
Karla Moore Frenzel and Starla demonstrating how much fun we really had.
I don't think we will ever grow up completely. At least not in the company of classmates!
Jan Marble Brandt was here and, Jan, it was great to be with you again.
Even amid the good food, entertainment, music and dancing we were able to have a quiet moment to mourn the passing of our childhood friend, Gwen Gerritsen Billings.
John Blaschka proved himself to be a fun dance partner and he had more energy than most! It's good you came, John.
Until the actual events, it's hard to imagine how wonderful it's going to be to see classmates again. Katie Barnett Discoll and Denny- it was so good to see you.
Sometimes it takes years of effort to pull some people in. Don Brunssen was one of those people and the effort was well worth it! You just never know how important it is to some of your classmates that you come. Thanks!
Ed Scheibner captivated us with his magic! We hope you will do this again for the 50th!
Laurel Brunssen becomes the perfect assistant- even watching very closely it reallyd does seem like magic!
Laurel didn't heistate a minute when Ed asked for someone from the audience.
Of course, Ed, picked the most beautiful woman in reach!
Ted Poston, Scott Richardson and Gary Taylor. I can't think of anything funny to say.
Three of the nicest men I know!
Ed worked out for weeks to be able to leap onto this chair to perform. It was well worth it- we could all see very clearly and still couldn't figure out how he did it. I believe Ken Adams posted a video on facebook that gives a little taste of Ed's talent.
After 45 years somethings never change. And some people too!
Thank goodness. It was so much fun to meet up with Pam Mitchell Bronson and Judy Penhallegon Adams this weekend.
Allan Yeary eating some of Robin's famous peach pie with Denise Hunter Gossett plotting to steal a bite. I highly recommend becoming involved for the 50th. The process of preparing is as much fun as the actual events!
I'm not sure if Annette's sister was called in to help with the technology issues or this was simply a moment for sisters to have a mini reunion but it was sweet.
Gary Poor and Denise Hunter Gossett do a "floor check" as Gary Taylor tests out the sound system.
Sally Goode Sides (I hope I have spelled your name correctly!) is actually sitting with a full table of animated women. Sometimes it is necessary to crop other people out because they will kill you if you post pictures they would not approve of. This is one of those cases where Sally has her eyes open and her light shining brightly!
Jane Strausz Bergerson- it's good to have you back home in the West. Jane is enjoying the magic of Ed's performance. Initially we wondered if people pay attention to the talent.
Heaven forbid! If it hadn't been for the laughter and the applause you could have heard a pin drop.
Everyone knows Gary is muscially inclined. But who knew he could be funny AND sing at the same time? Lovely performance, Gary. Thank you.
We determined that Starla has been singing to the Class of 1969 for 50 years!
Thank you, dear Starla!
I took several photos of Sue throughout the weekend- this is my favorite.
We took time out to tour Gary Taylor's new store on Yakima Ave. Now we are trying to figure out how to take lessons there!
Alan and Callie have known each other since 5th grade at Nob Hill.
