Sue Weaver - August 22nd, 2023
Sue was the sweetest girl I knew.  We were kindred spirits in 5th and 6th grade.  We were tomboys together finding adventure in the hood.  She lived on 25th (?) and Tieton.  We walked home from Nob Hill together finding short cuts and intersting spots.  We both ended up doing nursing although she went to Franklin and I went to Wilson.  RIP dear friend.  You were gone too soon.

Coy Estes

Birth Date: 1951-06-12
Deceased Date: 2018-03-18
Obituary:

He was a legend…

May 12, 2018, McCosh Park, 401 W. 4th Ave., Moses Lake, Washington, noon - 3:30 PM.

Coy especially loved vintage cars, stock cars, motorcycles & old music.

McCosh Park’s picnic shelter is under a grove of trees next to a large parking lot. Please bring the vehicles Coy treasured and a lawn chair. Sit back and enjoy great memories and an unofficial car show on a beautiful spring afternoon.

Coy jumped into everything with both feet. “If you can’t run with the big dogs stay on the porch.” He loved music, cars and ‘old ****’. Coy owned and operated a series of second hand and appliance repair businesses from 1975 until the day he passed. For nearly 6 decades he played drums for country bands in Washington and Oregon. Coy also loved fast loud cars and pickup trucks. He raced cars at Yakima Speedway, restored old cars and built ‘rat rods’. He founded a car show in Wilson Creek, Washington. Coy often joked he was a legend in his own mind.

Everything Coy tackled was a success. It was a hard fight, and a constant battle but he always managed to make “it” work. Coy owned and operated second hand stores most of his life. Coy grew up working with his dad, Ed Estes, who owned 40th Avenue Swap Shop in Yakima. Coy’s life started in Yakima, and took him to North Bend, Oregon, Newport, Oregon, Salem, Oregon and finally to Moses Lake where he settled 20 years ago.

Coy was preceded in death by the love of his life, Carol Hannah, his parents, Ed and Marie Estes, his great aunt, Berlys Setzer and his ‘uncle’ JT Bundy and is survived by his son, Jeff Estes, his sister and brother in-law Marvine & Ronnie Denton and four stepchildren, Ron & Peggy Hannah, Glenda & Ren Gunnell, Brenda Hargraves and Cinda & Jim Ransier. He was grandpa to 13 grandchildren, Carson, Connor, Ronnie, Meaghan, Maurice, Coy & Kim, Jennifer, Cody, Colby, Paige, Naomi, Jessica and 9 great grandchildren, Rory, Holt, Grayson, Brandon, Bryce, Raymond, Marie, Jaxon, Rilie and Dean. He was also an uncle and great uncle to Amy & Kyle McCubbin, Mikayla and Gabe.ok
